March 22 - 28, 2026 - Spruce Grove - Week 13

Sorry a little bit late on some of these. It is proving harder to write them when the weeks largely look the same from the last one. So what did I do? Thanks for asking. ...

I've been house sitting for my friend in Spruce Grove but that has come to an end .  So the next few days will be moving my bag of clothes out and then cleaning up a bit and getting the laundry done for their return. And now I will move to the city to stay with Jamie for the next bit. I know she can't wait to see me every day, forever.

I was going to pick up running again or (present tense - I am?) or even I HAD been.... I had gotten a few runs under my belt but then the weather turned and it snowed a lot and then it was raining and it was icy and these sound like excuses but like legitimately I would have died. Cracked my skull on this ICY ground so I haven't run for about 10 days and that's kind of annoying.

But it seems that the weather is going to pick up (Future me... LOL)  and I got a pass at Coronation Sport Centre, so once I'm in the city, I just need to commit to the routine of like getting up and going cuz I'm definitely a morning person when it comes to exercise.  That or it prob wont happen,  if it's is left till after work.. there is a 1 in 10  chance its happening.

To wrap up the week, Jamie and I went on a hyper fixation bender trying to make the best Spicy Peanut Butter. Here is some photo evidence of that evening.  It involved making a base flavor that felt like it was missing a little something, and then adding a tiny bit of a bunch of things to see which was the right profile.  Honestly, I think we nailed it.  Then we designed a logo, looked into industrial kitchens and wondered if we should do a pop up shop at a farmers market for the LORE* of it all.

Would you come and try some? Or donate to the cause because it would be hilarious, but would cost us like $500 to even get approved at the farmers market, and I doubt we would break even in the first attempt.

*Lore appeared as a slang term on TikTok in 2020.
At the time, it was used as a way to express “character development.” In 2022, "lore" became less about fleshing out the worlds or characters in movies, comic books, or video games and more about sharing a user’s personal lore. People began sharing extraordinary, entertaining, or even embarrassing facts and stories about their lives to be more authentic on social media.

Send $5 or $20 here!

Help Jamie and Joanne Go to the Farmers Market!  ( the one time registration fees are $345, plus then we have to buy product and rent a kitchen)

We are pretty serious though. We even have a logo....

anyway

See ya next week (ish)
